The radiator is one of the most important components of automobile engine cooling system, it has significant influence on the dynamic, economic, reliability of the internal combustion engine, the compact design of the cars and engines and automotive lightweight design, strict restrictions on the volume and mass of the radiator, which requires not only the automotive radiator structure has better thermal performance, but the structural strength, the structure life also need higher requirements. After a car radiator samples developed, radiator fatigue durability test must execute, the test includes mechanical vibration fatigue performance experiments, pressure pulses fatigue performance experiments, thermal shock fatigue performance test, etc., The aim of this research is to studies the heat dissipation performance on automotive radiators by designing five radiators with different fin pitch wave distance (P= 2.5, 2.4, 2.3, 2.2, 2.1 mm), to evaluate the impact of the tube design on the car radiator heat rejection performance. Then illustrates mathematical formulas that define strain fatigue characteristics curve, stress fatigue characteristic curve, the pressure fatigue analysis process and the vibration fatigue analysis process of the radiator. |
